TecnoConverting Engineering is awarded for the design and supply of lamella settler equipment in the Dominican Republic

TecnoConverting Engineering has been selected by one of Spain’s leading construction contractors to design and supply all settling equipment for one of the largest wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in the Dominican Republic.
TecnoConverting Engineering carried out the initial engineering work, including the design and sizing of the lamella settlers for subsequent civil works construction. The project leveraged the know-how developed with our TecnoTec simulation tools to maximize lamella settler performance while optimizing both civil works and equipment costs.
Using TecnoTec CFD simulation, TecnoConverting Engineering achieved an optimized flow distribution inside the settler, preventing preferential paths and reducing the amount of suspended solids carried over through the clarified-water collection system.

The entire support structure was designed to withstand a 50% sludge load. TecnoConverting Engineering also provides a structural calculation report to certify the design and reduce the risk of support structure failures.
In addition, TecnoConverting Engineering supplied the scraper, the TECNO-CLASSIC thickener, and Thomson weirs/channels for clarified water collection, all manufactured entirely in stainless steel.
The complete installation was developed using the EASY-INSTALL system, enabling efficient installation anywhere in the world and optimizing logistics and transport volume.
