TecnoConverting unveils new high-performance TecnoGrabber® models

Since its launch in 2020, TecnoGrabber® has proven to be an effective and widely recognised debris-retention solution for sewer networks. Installed in several cities across Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Italy and France, TecnoGrabber® has played a key role in protecting our rivers and seas. Today, TecnoConverting Engineering is proud to announce the evolution of this innovative system with the introduction of a new rectangular geometry, engineered to boost performance in debris retention.
What are TecnoGrabber® systems?
TecnoGrabber® is a technology developed to retain gross and floating solids discharged during combined sewer overflows (CSOs) in heavy-rain events. The systems are installed at the outfall outlets, preventing debris from reaching rivers and seas and thus protecting the environment.
New high-performance TecnoGrabber® models
The new high-performance TecnoGrabber® models feature rectangular inlet openings instead of the previous circular ones. This change increases the collection area, enabling more efficient retention and a larger retained volume. Retention capacities rise by 30% to 70%, depending on the application.
Versatility and adaptability
Each inlet opening is equipped with a 25-mm mesh made of high-strength nylon, and we offer different mesh sizes to match the specific needs of each site. This ensures every project gets the most suitable solution to maximise debris retention.As with the previous models, the new high-performance TecnoGrabber® units are easy to maintain, simplifying mesh removal and replacement. Their robust design ensures a long service life.
New in-house TecnoGrabber® High-Strength retention meshes
Responding to customer requests, TecnoConverting Engineering has started in-house manufacturing of retention meshes. This new capability lets us guarantee top quality while offering far more competitive pricing—addressing one of our clients’ main concerns: replacement-mesh cost.
New maintenance service
Alongside the new high-performance TecnoGrabber® systems, TecnoConverting now offers a comprehensive maintenance service for installed TecnoGrabber® points. The service includes replacing filled meshes with new ones, streamlining the handling of collected waste and keeping networks operating efficiently. The TecnoGrabber® maintenance service is currently available in the Community of Madrid and Catalonia.
