TecnoConverting Portugal supplies its first artificial wetland

posted in News

TecnoConverting Portugal supplies and installs its first floating artificial wetland from the prestigious company Waves Floating System, for which TecnoConverting holds exclusive representation in Spain, Portugal and France.

The growing popularity of the Waves Floating System is largely due to the fact that water treatment facilities benefit from a solution for water decontamination through a passive, natural, low-maintenance process with simple operation.

  • Passive and natural process: no need for complex operating systems
  • Low maintenance: a sustainable and efficient solution in operation
  • Higher treatment performance: high root contact area with wastewater
  • Improved hydraulics: flow velocity reduction and better treatment results
  • Retrofits without clogging: helps solve obstruction/clogging issues

Compared to conventional constructed wetlands, the Waves Floating System does not require soil and the plants float above the discharge, achieving a high root-to-wastewater contact area, reducing flow velocity and increasing treatment performance.

When retrofitting conventional constructed wetlands, the Waves Floating System immediately solves the chronic obstruction/clogging problem.
